From Phillip
My name is Phillip Ha and former Vietnamese name is Hà Thúc Vinh. I arrived Pulau Tengah Refugee camp in December 24, 1979 and left for US in Oct 1980. I and other survivors had landed by miracle on the reef by the coast of the Pulau Auz via the boat PK 0694. We left Vietnam on December 8, 1979 with 73 people. But few of us have passed away on the way finding the freedom via this trip. I saw the date of our boat in the list was in Jan, 1979.
I'd like to make the correction for it for the history of our journey to Pulau Tengah. This place has always been in my memory and forever.
I have a special thanks to Ms. Chang who helped my mother in the Johor hospital of Mersing during 6 months since December, 1979. I believe she has worked for UNHCR as a volunteer. I have lost her contact after arrival in US. If someone may have her info, please let me know.
